Back in the homeland

I have almost been home a month now and I am no closer to getting a job than I was before I went to Spain. As previous posts have stated I had an amazing time while I was away and now that I am back I am feeling a bit lost as I no longer have routine in my life. I have however met some Spanish people in the local area and am going to try and keep the language up so that I do not forget it.

By nature I am not a fan of spending time by myself. I prefer to be around people but this process of looking for jobs online, sifting through them all to work out what ones I am actually qualified for and that I have enough experience to convince the company that I am the perfect person for the job can be a lonely experience.

In Spain I made sure I got to see as much of the area as I could within three months and I am trying to use this same attitude while here in the U.K. I have been visiting friends and family around the country, going out on walks and cycles in the local area and trying to appreciate where I am and the free time that I have available.

Trying to get the dog in the Easter spirit. He wasn't as excited.

Spring time!
Last week I traveled across the country to see people from my undergrad, postgrad, Mexico and even one from Spain as two weeks was too long to be a part. During my trip I managed to visit Chester Zoo, Bristol, an acoustic night and authentic experience of Totnes, a drive around the Welsh town of Llandudno and a stop in Glasgow just for good measure.

My trip and yes there were that many roadworks.

May is set out to be a good month as I have a hen do in Amsterdam, a ticket to radio ones big weekend, a trip to New York with my dad and a wedding in Canada to look forward to.  For all of this I am grateful :)

I would also like to take this opportunity to ask for those who read this post to visit the page below and if you can, please donate to this fantastic cause. One of my good friends lost his little brother and the family have created a tree grove in his honour. If you could please help create a lifelong legacy then it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
